A rock and a hard place: Teachers face a tough choice in the face of corruption in Honduras

Kevin (whose last name has been omitted to protect his identity), always thought if he got an education and worked hard, then he could lead a happy and prosperous life in home country of Honduras. However, these were no match to the intense corruption present in Honduras, including in the education sector. Kevin had three choices: participate in the corruption, protest in the streets and risk being injured or killed by government forces, or flee. Kevin chose the third.
